The paper-based arrival system was inefficient, non-compliant with fire safety requirements and created a poor experience for visitors. Manual entries were error-prone, the fire register was always out of date, and hosts weren't notified when visitors arrived.
A custom PowerApps application was built and deployed on a reception tablet. Staff and visitors check in digitally, the app time-stamps every entry, automatically updates the fire register, and sends email notifications to the host when a visitor arrives — all within their existing Office 365 environment.
